Sources

This page is a methods note, not a sales page. Caydra is not a medical journal. We are not claiming a paper in NEJM or JAMA. We point to the same public sources clinicians already know, so a search engine and a colleague can see what sits under the colors.

Drug names

U.S. medication names from RxNorm, U.S. National Library of Medicine. More than 14,000 names in the list clinicians can search. Source: NIH RxNorm.

Harm at national scale

CDC FastStats: Medication Safety Data (April 17, 2024): more than 1.5 million U.S. emergency visits each year from adverse drug events; almost 500,000 of those visits lead to hospitalization. These are national figures, not Caydra outcomes. Caydra does not claim to reduce these national figures. Source: CDC medication-safety facts.

Interaction evidence

Pair scoring draws on FDA FAERS (adverse-event reports), PubMed / peer-reviewed literature, and clinical guidance. Where completed, we have also done limited guideline-oriented spot checks (for example ACCP-oriented) — that is not an ACCP endorsement of Caydra. A color is a second look. Gray means that pair is not scored yet. Gray is not “safe.”

What this is not

Not FDA-cleared. Not a diagnosis. Not a substitute for the treating clinician. Not an article you can cite as if it were a journal. If we later publish in a real journal or preprint, that paper will stand on its own. This website is assistive clinical decision support for licensed clinicians in the United States and Canada.
